What to Expect

Pamela Williams Interior Design (PWID) is an award-winning, Atlanta-based design studio offering full-service design. Our simple 4-Phase process ensures you can relax and trust our expert team to bring your project to life, while still maintaining control. Here's how we work:

Phase 1: Concept & Design Direction

  • Review existing space conditions

  • Understand personal impact and lifestyle needs 

  • Collect site measurements and details

  • Clarify Style and Color Preferences

  • Develop Art Treatment Plan

  • Evaluate existing furnishings to reuse/repurpose

  • Create Overall Design Direction using Mood Boards visuals

  • Prepare preliminary layouts, color and material selections

  • Review schematic layouts, selections and sketches with Client

 

Phase 2: Design Development

  • Finalize space planning  that optimizes the functionality and aesthetics of your space
  • Present material samples
  • Finalize Furniture, Furnishings & Equipment (FF&E)
  • Evaluate lighting and millwork with third-party consultants
  • Prepare budget for interior furnishings
  • Create non-photorealistic 3D visuals for overall design intent of color, furnishings, and spatial layout
  • Present plans and products for Client approval

Phase 3: Construction & Purchasing
  • Prepare appropriate working drawings for the construction of the space and installation of interiors. This includes dimensioned floor plans, furniture plans, electrical location plans, reflected ceiling plans and cabinet shop drawings as needed.
  • Prepare bid specifications for furniture and other moveable equipment
  • Prepare Purchase Orders and submit to vendors
  • Review vendor acknowledgement for accuracy
  • Ensure purchases are within budget parameters

Phase 4: Installation
  • Assist with obtaining competitive bids for furnishings and equipment
  • Assist in coordinating the schedule for delivery and installation of interior components
  • Prepare punch list of items needing attention by Designer and vendors for touch-ups at completion of installation
