Project Pow[h]er House is a non-profit organization with the primary objective  of developing secure and nurturing interior spaces within safe houses, specifically designed to promote mental, emotional, and spiritual healing for women and children who have experienced domestic violence. Through the implementation of evidence-based design principles, existing safe houses will be revitalized to inspire women to embark on a path towards a healthier lifestyle. Project Pow[h]er House (PPH) aims to provide each resident and staff member in local Atlanta safe houses an opportunity to explore their inner selves by fostering uplifting, encouraging, and empowering temporary living environments.

Factors such as improved mental health and community support are also important to our ultimate goal of stimulating a transformation for residents from victims to victors. Project Pow[h]er House will leverage techniques such as Color Theory, Motivational Design Theory, and Trauma-informed Design to positively influence both residents and employees, cultivating a devotion to self-love and facilitating a successful transition into a healthier and more stable lifestyle.
